The Story
I recently completed a major mural project at Woodburn Exchange in Cincinnati’s vibrant East Walnut Hills neighborhood. Spanning 96 feet wide by 8 feet tall, the mural features a detailed map of the areas along both sides of the Ohio River, capturing landmarks from Cincinnati and across the river in Kentucky.
To ensure long-term durability in an outdoor setting, I fabricated the piece using 3/4-inch-thick PVC panels, mounted securely to the brick wall with 3-inch metal standoffs. The entire process—from programming and cutting to painting and final installation—took about four months, with the on-site mounting completed in three to four weeks.
Throughout the project, I worked closely with the client, making thoughtful adjustments based on their feedback and specific needs. The finished map mural not only helps guide visitors through the area but also adds a striking artistic element to the space. The client was thrilled with the result, expressing deep satisfaction with the meticulous attention to detail and exceptional craftsmanship.
